remember. and reconnect.
i've been purging all of the negative forces from my life.
this is also why i am moving.
i need functional minds,
tucked and tattered places,
and remember what i love about people.
and to reconnect with film and photography.
it has been too long.
here is something pretty to share.

last ride
i went on a motorcycle ride yesterday evening
leaving from Boulder, through the canyon to Nederland,
up past Caribou, Gold Hill, and Raymond,
and down to Lyons and back to Boulder.
We also stopped so I could photograph
the cobblestone church.
I took all of these photos from
the back of a moving motorcycle.

the past week has been heartbreaking,
over and over.
today i have made the final decision to move to san francisco.
moving there means leaving behind
my boyfriend, our kitty, and our cabin.
all of those comforting, beautiful things.
despite those, i'm not happy in boulder.
i never have been.
sometimes the best decisions aren't the easiest...
to recognize that i'll drag everything into the sandy ground
and taking steps to not have that happen,
feels a bit like growing up.
i guess being 25 means being 25.
so be it.
